Then it got breezy and darkness really started to settle in. And the rain began. It was a light rain and made the earth smell good. It cooled the air around us. I kept the back door open so I could get a few pictures. It felt good to stand there with a slight breeze on my face, a few raindrops on my toes.
I was rewarded with this.
My husband later told me that there was supposed to be an electrical storm every night this week. I am excited! I want more pictures.

Fabulous photos! What kind of camera do you have. My little Olympus stinks! What a great life/Bible lesson. In the midst of our storms, there is beauty and the promise of better things.
If there is one thing we can't control its the weather but God is in it an we get a glimpse of His mighty power through it. Great pics.
We don't get streaked lightening like that here. More flashes that light up the whole sky
What a storm, Stacy! You got some awesome shots. Isn't God amazing? What a majestic creation he has given us to enjoy.
I love, love, love that your children are cooking now. Mine enjoy helping from time to time, and I'm looking forward to the day that they can handle a meal on their own. That spinach salad looked divine! Nothing like a little homegrown produce, is there? I'm making plum preserves sometime over the weekend. Yum!
